08 Feb

How to update samsung galaxy mini to CM9 Android 4.0.3 ICS (IceCreamSandwich): An Overview,.

How to update to cm9:

First and this is important download

1. update-cm-9.0.0-BETA2-GalaxyMini-KANG-signed.zip (135,554 KB) and then place it on your root sd click here http://adf.ly/5MX95

Note: DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE!

Warning: Your phone must be rooted before doing this!

STEPS:

1. reboot your phone on recovery mode (you should have first installed ClockWorkMod, see my youtube videos for actual installation).
2. select “install zip from sd”
3. then select “choose zip from sdcard”
4. find and select “update-cm-9.0.0-BETA2-GalaxyMini-KANG-signed.zip”
5. press back button
6. then select “wipe data / reset”
7. then “wipe cache partition”
8. Lastly, select “reboot system now”

Just follow the procedure step by step, and you should be okay… I’ve tested it already and it worked for me 100%… BUT, as caveat: DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

enjoy! android 4.0.0 IceCreamSandwich

hmm,. (the simple way) try to ask help from any of your family members to call your phone, while answering the call press the “home button” if it goes to your home screen you can disable your lock screen,. (the hard way) or you can do a Nandroid back-up and re-install your ROM again and wipe all it all,. if no problem occurs then proceed and reboot your phone to Clockworkmod recovery and select “back-up/restore” then “advance restore” then select “restore data, restore cache, restore sd-ext”, hopefully you will restore your files,. this is just an experiment WARNING: Do it at your own RISK (i have not done it before because i haven’t encounter it ),. if you follow this nothing will change if it turns out unsuccessful because you can restore it back to your previous ROM, apps and everything like it is untouched but the problem with the lock screen will restore also.. XD

that’s not possible eran, after updating you must “reset it all/wipe it all” because CM7 and CM9 are not the same and they do not have the same system and all,..
